Gethsemane Ministries, 742 Ross Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221 Offers Community Sensory Room We’ve recently had a Grand Opening of the ONLY Public Sensory Room in the Pittsburgh Area. Never has there been a place where the general public can experience the tranquility and unique benefits a sensory room has to offer in a public setting.  Improving mental health is the first step in improving physical health and wellbeing.  

Sensory rooms are recognized internationally for the relief of challenges associated with mental and physical health such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, dementia and many other issues, and serve as a conduit for relaxation and spiritual renewal. The Sensory Room at Gethsemane Ministries is the first of its kind in the Pittsburgh area to offer scheduled room sessions and memberships to the general public beginning (date).

The Sensory/Relaxation Room is designed to take you away from everyday stressors in a dedicated, quiet space with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and calming music.  Spending any amount of time in these spaces has proven to reduce stress, refocus attention and rejuvenate the spirit. They are ideal for any age.
